It was moved by Commissioner A. Pirani that the New Frontiers School Board honours the memory of the thousands of children who were sent to residential schools, and all those who never returned, including the 215 children found at the former “Kamloops Indian Residential School” in British Columbia. We acknowledge the families whose lives were forever changed by the residential school system, and we will continue our work of truth and reconciliation in our schools and centres. Copies of this resolution will be sent to Premier Francois Legault and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
MOTION CARRIED unanimously.
