Nomination papers may be filed at the office of the Returning Officer on the following days and times:
If two or more candidates are nominated for this position, a poll will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; an advance poll will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 from noon to 8 p.m.
A period of revision of the electoral list for Division 10 only will be held from August 21 – 25, 2023; exact dates and locations to be confirmed.
Electors who do not have a child admitted to educational services in the English language school board or the French language school service centre that covers their home address may choose to exercise or revoke their right to vote at an English language school board. This choice is made by sending the Notice, found on the NFSB website (www.nfsb.qc.ca) to the Returning Officer, by August 29, 2023.

A draft version of the division-in-principle may be viewed at the offices of the New Frontiers School Board located at 214 McLeod Avenue, Chateauguay, Quebec, during normal office hours (Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Fridays, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm).
Objections to the proposed divisions must be submitted in writing to the Director General at the aforementioned address, by 4:30 pm on Monday, June 26, 2023. If the Director General receives more than 100 objections to the proposed division, the Council of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the matter.

Chateauguay, March 15, 2023. The Council of Commissioners of the New Frontiers School Board announces the appointment of Mr Mike Helm as Director General of the New Frontiers School Board, effective June 1, 2023. This decision was taken unanimously at the Council meeting of March 14, 2023. Mr Helm, who is currently serving as the Assistant Director General & Secretary General, will be replacing Mr Rob Buttars, who has announced his retirement.
Mr Helm is a proud graduate of not only the Quebec public education system, but that of New Frontiers having graduated from CVR in 1990. He completed a DEC in Social Studies from John Abbott College in 1992, a Bachelor of Education from McGill in 1997, and a Master of Educational Leadership also from McGill in 2012.
Mr Helm brings with him 26 years of classroom and administrative experience, having worked as a teacher, a Vice-Principal and Principal at Howard S. Billings High School, the Director of Educational Services & Transportation, the interim Director of Finance and Material Resources, and for the last 9 years, as our Assistant Director General.
As a Council we look favourably to continuing our work with Mr Helm as our new Director General as he guides New Frontiers into the future. We know he will meet with success as he works together with our staff, our students and our parents. Congratulations to Mr Helm!

Chateauguay, March 15, 2023 – The Director General of the New Frontiers School Board, Mr Rob Buttars, announces his retirement. At their meeting of March 14, 2023, the Council of Commissioners of the New Frontiers School Board accepted the resignation for retirement purposes of the School Board’s Director General, Mr Rob Buttars.
As Chair of the Council of Commissioners, I wish to pay tribute to Mr Buttars for his outstanding contribution to education during his 18 years of service. His tireless efforts and dedication to New Frontiers have contributed to the School Board’s success; he will certainly be missed.
The Council offers its heartfelt appreciation to Mr Buttars for his leadership and wishes him well in his future endeavours.
