Mr. Helm knows New Frontiers firsthand: he’s a proud graduate of Châteauguay Valley Regional High School (CVR). Over his 30 years with the school board, he has served as a teacher, Vice-Principal and Principal at Howard S. Billings High School, Director of Educational Services and Transportation, and interim Director of Finance and Material Resources. He then spent nine years as Assistant Director General before becoming our Director General.
The Director General is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the School Board. The Director General manages the administrative team, ensures that law and policy are being adhered to, and works closely with the Council of Commissioners to ensure that the School Board runs effectively and efficiently. NFSB Communications are also managed through the Director General’s office.
