New Frontiers School Board

Note for the 2019-2020 School Year

Times, they are a-changin! All of our schools have modified their daily schedule to accommodate extra recess time at the elementary level… this means BUS schedules have also changed.

Morning Pick-up:

ALL families with a modified morning pick-up time have been contacted; all others should be at their normal bus stop at the same time as last year. Keep in mind to always be at your bus stop 10 minutes before the scheduled time.

Afternoon Drop-off:

  • CHATEAUGUAY elementary schools will now finish 10 minutes later. Expect your child’s bus to arrive at the bus stop at least 10 minutes later than last year.
  • H.S.B. finishes 4 minutes later. Expect a slight change in your child’s bus arrival.
  • VALLEY elementary schools will now finish 25 minutes later. Expect your child’s bus to arrive at the stop at least 25 minutes later than last year.
  • C.V.R. finishes 25 minutes later. Expect your child’s bus to arrive at the bus stop at least 25 minutes later than last year.

As with any change, there is always an adjustment period…pick-up and drop-off times may fluctuate slightly.

We appreciate your understanding as we all work together for a great start-up!

Responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of our students to and from school each day,Transportation Services of the New Frontiers School Board works together with our various transporters and government agencies to ensure safety guidelines are met and surpassed.

Establishing bus routes is a complex task!

Using the most up-to-date technology, our routes are created and buses are assigned to students eligible for school bus transportation; families are notified of any changes in bus number, route, and expected pick up time each year.

School bus transportation is provided to students who meet the following distance criteria:

  • Kindergarten Students

Walking distance of 0.8 km (0.5 miles) or more from their designated school

  • Elementary Students

Walking distance of 1.6 km (1.0 miles) or more from their designated school

  • High School Students

Walking distance of 2.0 km (1.2 miles) or more from their designated school
