Summer School and Supplemental Exams

Summer School & Tutorials
Organized through LEARN Quebec

Deadline to register Monday, July 7, 4:00 p.m.

If your child might need extra academic support, we strongly recommend registering now for LEARN Quebec’s Summer School Tutorials.

Ministry of Education of Quebec’s (MEQ) exam results may only be available on July 7, the same day registration closes. To be safe, we encourage families to register if there’s any chance your child didn’t pass.

Supplemental Exams
Organized through New Frontiers School Board

Registration deadline is July 14, 2025, 4:00 p.m.  

If your child doesn’t take LEARN Tutorials, they can still write MEQ Supplemental Exams for Grade 10 – History, Math, Science and Grade 11 – English, French

Students registered for summer school or tutorials with LEARN are automatically included in supplemental exams.  Keep an eye out for an email from NFSB with more information.

Supplemental Exams – Info & Rules

  • Students must report to the gymnasium entrance at the back of Howard S. Billings Regional High School (210 McLeod, Chateauguay) at least 15 minutes before the start of their exam.
  • MEQ Rule – Students who arrive more than 15 minutes late to the exam will NOT be permitted to write the exam.
  • Students must have a picture ID, pencils, pens and a calculator in order to write a supplemental exam.  If they are writing a Mathematics exam, they may also have a memory aid (1-letter-size paper, hand-written on both sides, nothing photocopied).
  • Students do not need to be in uniform.
  • No SMART devices are permitted in the examination room including cellphones and watches.

Supplemental Exam Registration

Secondary 4 & 5 – Arts and Contemporary World (CCQ) Independent Project

Organized through New Frontiers School Board for students wishing to obtain their CCQ and/or Art credits. 

Registration deadline is July 14, 2025, 4:00 p.m.

The teacher will be in touch via email with more info.

Project is due Thursday August 7, 2025.

Cost is $180. Students will be invoiced.
